Elections for seats on the Uncertain City Council are held bi-annually, the 1st Saturday in May, of each even-numbered year. The election will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Voting this day will be held at:

from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Early Voting and Ballots by Mail guidance will be made available through the Harrison County Elections office.
On the ballot for the 2026 general election are the positions of Alderman Place 1, Alderman Place 3, and Alderman Place 5.

Applications for ballot my mail must be received no later than the close of business on April 17, 2026.
The first day to file with the Uncertain City Secretary for a place on the General Election ballot is January 12, 2026. Forms are available at https://www.sos.texas.gov/elections/forms/pol-sub/ or by contacting the City Secretary at 903.789.3443. The deadline to file with the City Secretary for a place on the general election ballot is February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Candidate requirements include 1) being at least 18 years of age, 2) being a resident of the State of Texas for a minimum of one year before the filing deadline, 3) being a resident of the City of Uncertain for a minimum of 6 months prior to election day, and 4) being a registered voter in the City of Uncertain by the filing deadline.
