Elections for seats on the Uncertain City Council are held annually, the 1st Saturday in May, of each year.  This coming year’s election will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024.  Voting this day will be held at:

      Uncertain City Hall

from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Early Voting and Ballots by Mail guidance will be made available through the Harrison County Elections office.

On the ballot for the 2024 general election are the positions of Mayor, Alderman Place 2, and Alderman Place 4.

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted at:

And each weekday at the following hours:

     April 22, 2024 through April 26, 2024; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

     April 29, 2024 through April 30, 2024; 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Applications for ballot my mail must be received no later than the close of business on April 19, 2024.

The first day to file with the Uncertain City Secretary for a place on the General Election ballot is January 17, 2024.  Forms are available at https://www.sos.texas.gov/elections/forms/pol-sub/ or by contacting the City Secretary at 903.930.4034.  The deadline to file with the City Secretary for a place on the general election ballot is February 16, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Candidate requirements include 1) being at least 18 years of age, 2) being a resident of the State of Texas for a minimum of one year before the filing deadline, 3) being a resident of the City of Uncertain for a minimum of 6 months prior to election day, and 4) being a registered voter in the City of Uncertain by the filing deadline.
